Class Descriptions and Levels
We teach many different styles of yoga at Upward Frog - it's good to have a variety in your practice.
If you are brand new to yoga start with our Beginners class or our Beginners Course.
If you’ve done some yoga already these brief descriptions will help you decide which classes to try - click to find out more about each class.

Beginners Yoga
The class to start in if you are brand new to yoga, or if you’ve already done a few classes elsewhere or on YouTube.

Beyond Beginners
One of our most popular classes with people at all levels of experience. Good if you are returning to yoga after a break.

Upward Frog Hatha
A set sequence and structure including breathwork, sun salutations, asana, mudra, restorative poses and meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga
A more challenging and varied class which includes flowing sequences, arm balances and challenge poses. Not advised for beginners.

Mandala Vinyasa
A vinyasa class in which you flow around your mat in a circular pattern. Informal, friendly and a lot of fun. Not advised for beginners.

Community Yoga
Slow and gentle yoga, movement and breathwork in a sociable, supportive environment. This class is suitable for everybody.

Friday Focus
This workshop-style class is held on the first Friday of the month and is an opportunity to go deeper into an area of practice.

Peak Pose Practice
A physically-challenging monthly class which takes you on a journey to a specific challenge pose. Not advised for beginners.

Yoga Nidra
Combining slow, gentle movement and breathwork with a 30-40 minute practice of Yoga Nidra. Suitable for every body.

Yin Yoga
A slow paced a class rooted in Daoist philosophy, targeting the body's connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones.

Restorative Yoga
A class where you’ll do a handful of poses for a longer time, supported by bolsters, props and blankets. For all, including beginners.

Chair Yoga
An accessible class based on, and around, the chair for anyone does not wish to get up or down from the mat. For all, including beginners.
