Beyond Beginners Yoga

Our Beyond Beginners class is perfect if you've done some yoga already (perhaps our Beginners course or class) and want to build your practice further by adding new poses and transitions.

This class moves faster than Beginners but is slower than our Yoga Level 1 and 2 classes.

This class is also a good starting point for confident beginners to yoga and anyone returning to yoga after a break.

After a few months (or even weeks) you'll feel confident to move on to, or add in, our Level One class.

You can use your membership, class pass or pay-as-you-go to attend Beyond Beginners Yoga.

Who’s this class for?

The class was originally created to provide a next level after our Beginners Class. However, many people with lots of experience also choose to do Beyond Beginners as it offers an opportunity to slow down and revisit the foundations of practice. It is a good complement to our Levels One and Two classes.

If you are a confident beginner, you don’t need any previous yoga experience to do this class.

How accessible is this class?

You will need to be able to get up and down from the mat for this class.

There is some wrist and knee pressure, some weeks more than others, but you can use blankets to cushion your joints or your teacher can offer an alternative pose.

What format is this class offered in?

We offer Beyond Beginners Yoga in person and on Zoom. However, please speak to us first if you are a complete beginner as Zoom is not our preference for teaching beginners.

How long is the class?

Beyond Beginners classes are 60 minutes long.
