Peak Pose Practice

Peak Pose Practice is a monthly, 75 minute class on Sunday mornings. It is an opportunity to go deeper into some of the more physically challenging postures in yoga practice. The objective is to work on the practice, not necessarily to “achieve” the posture.

In a Peak Pose class the teacher will take you through a progressive sequence to prepare your body and mind for working on a specific posture (asana). You’ll start with foundational movements to build the necessary strength, flexibility, balance and mobility to practice the peak pose.

The sequence will build in complexity and may include drills or other work to replicate body movements, positions or transitions that will be necessary for the peak pose. When you get to the peak pose there will also be options and props to support your practice of the posture.

The class will finish with an integrative sequence of calming and restorative postures so that the body slows down and recovers safely.

The class moves at a medium pace. You can slow down or take breaks at any time.

You can use your membership, class pass or pay-as-you-go to attend Peak Pose Practice.
