Community Chair Yoga
Join our friendly chair yoga class in Reddish
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that you do while seated or using a chair for support. It helps to improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation whilst being safe and accessible.
It's perfect for older adults, people with mobility issues, or anyone who prefers a seated yoga practice.
Chair Yoga is for anyone, of any age, who would like to learn yoga without having to get up and down from the floor.
You can do the whole class sitting on the chair or you can do parts of it standing up, such as using the chair to help you balance. Your teacher will show you lots of options.
Who is Chair Yoga for?
Our Community Chair Yoga class has two parts: the first part is the yoga class which takes place between 1.30pm and 2.30pm. After that, if you want, you are welcome to stay on for some tea, coffee and biscuits and have a chat with our volunteers and the other participants. The session will finish at 3.15pm.
