An evidence-led holistic health and wellbeing approach to pain care
Our Yoga and Chronic Pain project, supported by Sport England, is running between Autumn 2024 and Summer 2025.
We will be running four courses in Central Stockport, Heaton Chapel / Reddish, Adswood and online.
Who is this course for?
These courses are for people living in Stockport borough who are living with chronic (ongoing or persistent) pain conditions including neck pain, back pain, pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, neurological pain, abdominal pain, arthritis, migraine plus chronic fatigue and burnout.
Each course will help you to learn simple yoga-based techniques and practices which will help you to cope with ongoing pain and make improvements to the quality of your everyday life. It’s not like a typical yoga class and you don’t need to get up and down from the floor. You can do everything in a chair if you wish.
The course is taught by experienced yoga teachers who have lived experience of chronic pain and fatigue conditions.
