Friday Focus

Friday Focus is an ad hoc 90 minute class usually held on the first Friday evening of the month. They are an opportunity to go deeper into an area of practice.

It could be a particular pose, a theme, a part of the body, an aspect of yoga philosophy or a style of yoga. Or a combination! These classes are quite informal and workshop-esque in their delivery.

These classes are usually suitable from Beyond Beginners and upwards. Full details will be provided in our newsletter for the specific class.

In this class you work somewhere between the pace of the Beyond Beginners and Level 1 classes.

You can use your membership, class pass or pay-as-you-go to attend Friday Focus.

Who’s this class for?

The class will appeal to anyone who enjoys yoga and is open to working on new challenges to develop their yoga practice and knowledge in a supportive, no pressure environment. Come along with an open mind and sense of curiosity.

This class is not usually intended for complete beginners, but watch our newsletter for details of each specific Focus.

How accessible is this class?

You will need to be able to get up and down from the mat frequently during this class.

There will usually be wrist and knee pressure and you can use blankets to cushion your joints - or your teacher can offer an alternative.

Sometimes a Friday Focus will have contraindications, meaning that it is not suitable for everyone. The details will be in our newsletter or speak to your teacher.
