To attend this class, you must be comfortable working both seated on the floor and standing. This class is also suitable for complete beginners and will involve multiple changes of direction.
Aime will guide you through this practice, utilising her interest in mobility work and Yoga Teacher Training qualification. Aime also has additional training in The MVMT Rooms.
Yoga for Chronic Back Pain with Kristabelle Irons
The class will explain the basic science behind pain and the utilisation of yoga as a strategy to manage your symptoms.
We will journey through some of the different limbs of yoga, including Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathwork), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation). The class will be accessible to all levels, props will be encouraged, and options will be offered throughout the class to cater to your specific needs.
The class will also explain the basic science behind pain and the utilisation of yoga as a strategy to manage your symptoms.
This class will not be suitable for anyone who is experiencing Lower Back Pain (LBP) for the first time, and the pain has been present for less than 3 months. If you are currently having a severe flare-up of LBP and if you have started to experience any new (less than three months) nerve-related pain from your back and anywhere into your leg or foot, then the class will not be suitable.

Kristabelle, who is guiding you through this practice, is an MSK specialist physiotherapist working in the NHS, and she regularly treats patients with Chronic Lower Back Pain and prescribes yoga postures and breathing techniques as part of a management plan. Kristabelle has personal experience of back pain and sciatica, which is well managed with some of the techniques she uses within the class.

During this class, we shall explore the practice of Yoga Nidra in more depth. Allowing an opportunity to turn inward, slow down and soften more deeply.
In the practice of Yoga Nidra you lie down, get comfortable and are guided through the practice (The practice can also be done seated if lying is uncomfortable.)
Regular practice of Yoga Nidra offers the opportunity to release years of accumulated tension and can help support anxiety, depression, insomnia and other conditions.
Yoga Nidra can have a deeply relaxing effect and leave us feeling more calm. People struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, insomnia, and fatigue will benefit from this class.
It is recommended that this class is not suitable for someone who has a history of severe trauma. (The practice can help with trauma, but working with a specialist trauma-informed practitioner would be advised.)

This class benefits people who feel stressed, anxious, burned out, or just generally overwhelmed and need some ‘me time’. The class is suitable for beginners and will consist of getting up and down from the mat but mostly low to the ground. During class, alternative postures can be given if necessary.
Steph will be guiding you through this practice; she will be using the knowledge she has gained during her Qualified Yoga Therapist 600hrs training and 5 years of teaching, qualified in Vinyasa, Yin, Mandala, Prenatal, Yoga Nidra, and level 2 in Reiki.

The class last around 35-40 minutes. Claire will deliver holistic support to you to help your baby's overall development and well-being, making the class a perfect bonding time between you and your baby. The session involves gentle stretching, over-clothes massage, breathing techniques, songs, rhymes and sensory play.
Claire is a mum and a qualified Yoga teacher, Children's Yoga teacher and Baby Massage instructor. She will share her knowledge of mindfulness techniques and give families the knowledge to take this practice into their routines.
We recommend that babies have had their 8-10 week check-ups and any health conditions checked with health care professionals so they can participate in Baby Yoga. For Caregivers who have experienced a C-section, we recommend you wait 12 weeks post-procedure, waiting for a healthcare professional's guidance to allow exercise. This class is suitable for babies after 8-10 week check-ups to walking away (around 12 months).

Our lives are so busy, so full and achievement focused, that we can often experience stress or burnout. When stress is prolonged, the nervous system is on constant alert or in fight or flight mode and struggles to move to rest, digest and recovery mode. This can cause Burnout as our bodies can’t keep up, and it can further lead to illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, Fibromyalgia (Chronic pain & Fatigue) and Long Covid. Yoga can be the perfect antidote. In this class, we learn to slow down, rest and learn some practical yoga tools to support rest & recovery.

Emma will be guiding you through your practice using knowledge from her additional training in Therapeutic Chair Yoga and Advanced Therapeutic Chair Yoga, along with experience teaching a weekly chair yoga class for patients at The Meadows Hospital in Offerton.
There will be many different options, and you can do the entire practice seated or use the chair for stability and incorporate some standing poses.
This class is suitable for complete beginners and for people of any age who do not want, or cannot, get up and down from the floor.

This class will introduce you to the benefits of mindfulness and how it can help us recognise moments of stress, as well as giving you practical tools to deal with difficult moments.

You will benefit from this class if you are experiencing stress or anxiety in your life, or would like to be able to relax and 'switch off' more easily or more easily navigate life's ups and downs
Mindfulness can be practiced by people of all faiths, beliefs, ages and races. You do not need to be able to 'meditate', control your mind, or even sit still! All are welcome. However, if you have recently received or are currently receiving treatment from a psychiatrist, psychotherapist or counsellor for an ongoing mental health issue, you should obtain approval from your mental health professional before proceeding further with this event at this time. Also, if you have recently or are currently going through a traumatic life event such as a separation from a long-term partner, the death of a close family member or friend or redundancy, this may not be the right time for you to attend this event.
Ellie will guide you through this practice using her knowledge from her qualifications as a Mindfulness and Meditation practitioner, having trained to teach with a variety of organisations, including the Mindfulness Association (MBLC, MBLC-YA and CBLC courses), Mindfulness in Schools Project (.breath and .be courses), Zenways (Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing Course) and the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for people with cancer course. I am registered with the Bristish Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) and am fully insured to teach. I have also recently co-taught a Mindfulness for Stress retreat at the Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery in Scotland, on behalf of the Mindfulness Association.
