Lucy Harvey
Adviser
Lucy is an artist and facilitator based in Stockport. Her creative work is inspired by human behaviours and ways of seeing the world, and she often makes sculpture, installation and community activity in response to this.
She has been commissioned by Arts Council England, National Trust, Cadw and Arts Council of Wales, whilst her work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally.
She has 11 years’ experience working with artist communities in creative programming and fundraising in Manchester. Between 2017-22 she co-founded Paradise Works, a Community Interest Company in Salford providing workspace to 30 artists and platforming opportunities for emerging and established artists.
She was awarded a place on the Clore Fellowship cultural leaders’ development programme in 2021 and subsequently refocused her work into creativity and wellbeing in wider society. She continues to teach at the University of Salford School of Arts & Media.
Lucy joined classes at Upward Frog in 2021 because she finally decided to do something about her own mental health, and she has never looked back! She’s passionate about fighting social inequality and wants to support Upward Frog CIC’s ambition to take yoga beyond the studio and into communities.
